We maintain 63 miles of track and connect directly to BNSF at Holbrook. That link gives fleets both space and national access, so cars don’t just sit—they stay positioned for the next move.

Apache provides storage for a wide range of freight cars.
Track capacity & flexibility
Across its yard and mainline, Apache can hold close to 700 railcars at a time. Cars may arrive loaded or empty, HazMat or non-HazMat, and the track layout allows both unit trains and smaller groups to be staged without congestion.
Need a full 120-car cut kept together? We can dedicate track for that. Need scattered storage for mixed cars? Our yard and storage has space to arrange them.
Need outbound inspections? Our technicians can do that.
Storage services & options
No two fleets approach storage the same way. Some need a quick layover between moves; others want a long-term hold. Apache offers both, with terms based on the car owner’s requirements.
Available services include:
- Switching cars into and out of storage (typically less than weekly, as needed)
- Pulling individual cars when customers request them
- Minor inspections or light service while cars are stored
- Entry and exit documentation, including outbound inspections
- On-site repairs for cars placed in storage, as requested.
Inventory & management
Fleets don’t get lost the the Apache. We track cars in real time, with status updates available whenever a customer needs them. For billing or compliance purposes, we can provide reports that show car location, duration in storage, or any other detail the owner requires.
That visibility helps owners keep their books straight while we keep the cars in order.
Security & safety
HazMat cars are stored under documented safety procedures.
The track itself is maintained to FRA standards, and state and federal regulators audit our site to confirm compliance. Routine inspections and upkeep mean customers aren’t leaving cars on neglected rail.
